WebMarkdd8 • 9 mo. ago. I’m aware of the fact that people should not be vacationing in hawaii at this moment due to water shortages among other issues. No water shortage in Hawaii, as relates to supporting people visiting. Only people who had water issues were farmers and ranchers and 2 weeks of rain that just ended helped their issues.

I have never experienced hostility or aggressiveness from locals on Maui, though I think they are entitled to some. I can't imagine living on Maui full time with no off season & inundated with tourists 24/7/365. It's fun being a destination but those of us who are more seasonal cherish the down time.
