Web28 May 2014 · I don't think you'd have an issue, I've seen some 14 bolt builds that use the ball joint outers. I can say from experience, they are wayyyy easier to service. 6 simple bolts and the shaft can be swapped. 4-bearing bolts, 2 caliper bracket bolts. Way easier for trail repairs, IF you break it. The inboard side sits about 2 sheets of paper (I don't have any measuring feeler guage things) higher than the outboard side. Web18 Jan 2024 · The easiest way to separate a ball joint is to hit the knuckle straight on. Hit it like you stole it. And I'm not talking about hitting the ball joint where the threads are at. Hit the metal part where the ball joint goes up through.
