WebbUnless contraindicated, ticagrelor should always be given with a daily low maintenance dose of aspirin 75mg to 150mg. There are limited data on the efficacy and safety of ticagrelor beyond 3 years of extended treatment. Extended treatment with ticagrelor 60mg bd should be stopped when clinically indicated or at a maximum of 3 years. WebbTicagrelor in combination with low-dose aspirin is recommended for up to 12 months as a treatment option in adults with acute coronary syndromes. However, selected patients at high risk may be offered ticagrelor 60mg bd for up to a maximum of three years by the initiating specialist in secondary care.
